Hunting tourism

In the Republic of Estonia, a person who has a valid hunting certificate and a weapons permit in their own country, can go hunting.

A foreigner’s hunting license is issued to a citizen of a foreign country at the request of the owner of a hunting area located in Estonia, or of an inviting person. A foreigner can bring their weapon across the border if they have a European Union firearms pass, issued by the relevant authority of their country.

A foreigner can also apply for a shooting test certificate for big game, if they have passed a shooting test in their country of residence, and no more than two years have passed as of the taking of the test (Hunting Act § 42 (4) If a person was issued a certificate confirming the taking of a shooting test for big game, or a shooting test for bowhunting in a foreign country, and not more than two years have passed as of the taking of the last shooting test, such person will not be required to take a shooting test for big game, or a shooting test for bowhunting.).

If a foreign citizen has not passed the big game shooting test, they can do it in Estonia.

Besides, a foreigner has to pay the fee for hunting rights.

In Estonia, we organize hunting according to the hunting season. You can find elks (Alces alces), wild boars (Sus scrofa), roe deer (Capreolus capreolus), bears (Ursus arctos) and wolves (Canis lupus) on our hunting ground, also different small game animals, for example beavers (Castor fiber), foxes (Vulpes vulpes), raccoon dogs (Nyctereutes procyonoides), etc.

If you are interested, let us know and we will organize a memorable hunting experience for you in a special natural environment. We help organize everything necessary – transport, accommodation, hunting documents, weapon rental and catering.

Please send an inquiry for a detailed price list, using our e-mail address info@kjs.ee, or call us +372 514 0566.
